in Sochi, Russia, on October 2004. Below he sent us a
letter about his tours that Inna arranged in Moscow for
both of them.

Eva and Brook at the Armory
and Diamonds area of the Kremlin. This area houses the larggest
collection of treasure including the Faber collection of
the Russian Emperors.
Eva and Brooks had a wonderful time together in Moscow
after engagement. Inna organized for them exciting excursions
with an English speaking professional tour guide. who showed
them through the Kremlin as well as many other cultural
and historical sites in Moscow (including the City tour,
all Kremlin cathedrals, Diamond Find, the Armory, the Tretiakov
gallery with Russian art, the Pushkin Museum, with western
and modern art, Novodevichiy Convent.

| Hello
Inna,
The trip to Moscow was fantastic for both of us. The first
excursion was the tour of the city then Novodevichy. Even
though it was cold and there was a lot of snow we both enjoyed
this little trip. I think doing this excursion first was
a good idea so you can get a feel of the city beyond Red
Square. My personality is one of adventure so going around
a strange place and seeing new things is fun for me and
for Eva Moscow was just as strange coming from a little
place like Sochi. Novodevichy was interesting but not so
fantastic.
The next was the Bolshoy. I would
recommend the opera over a ballet unless the couple is very
interested in the ballet. The seats were situated well but
as with old places they were very hard to sit on with little
padding. Of course it was very beautiful inside and the
walk back to the hotel was safe and there were lots of people
all around. Do not have clients do an excursion during the
day, then the Bolshoy at night because they will be to tired
to appreciate it. It is best to enjoy the mall by the hotel
or walk around or maybe go to Arbat street
and enjoy the cafe's there during the day.
Next was the Tretyakov Gallery. This
was amazing for both of us and as I said the guide was very
knowledgeable and spoke about the history of many of the
pieces in the gallery. Seeing Ivan the Terrible's (The fourth)
painting was exciting for me after seeing so many documentaries
about him. Also interesting is was a painting of Lenin giving
a speech. There is a huge copy of this painting in a cafe
in Sochi just
north of my first apartment. The name of the cafe is Dobrava.
I cannot impress upon you enough how informed the guide
was. She was raised during Soviet times but did not have
that mentality we have
talked about. She was open minded and understood customer
service. Our second excursion on this day was to the Pushkin
Museum. This was very good for Eva and she liked all in
the museum. For me seeing copies
of things which I have already seen the originals was not
so great. Eva wanted me to tell you that she would recommend
this for girls from Sochi so they can understand more about
the world. I think maybe I was just
too tired after the long trip earlier at the Tretyakov Gallery.
The Kremlin was like being in a dream. For me being inside
and so close to where Putin works was surreal. You would
never get this close to an
American President on such a regular basis. I have a picture
of Eva and I standing in front of his building across the
street. Listening to people sing a cappella, in the Cathedral
where Ivan the fourth is kept,
was like a movie. I purchased their CD after they sang for
Eva and I. The place was empty and the performance was for
us alone. Eva loved looking at all the Gold and Jewels in
the Diamond room. I liked this
too and for me it was the first time I had seen jeweled
crowns up close. We both learned quite a bit on this tour
and it was fun taking pictures next to the giant bell and
cannon. We both feel that every client and woman on vacation
in Moscow should take this excursion if they only have time
for one. The history is too compelling to miss!
