Sochi 2004 You're invited to a day in the Park!
A Russian
Romance's fifth anniversary
party! |

My
mother, Inna McNeill, created A Russian Romance five
years ago in June and July while we were visiting our
family in Sochi. Each year since then when we have gone
to work with the women and office staff, we have arranged
outings with the new women clients. This year we decided
to combine our Anniversary celebration with a trip to
the most popular theme park in Sochi, the Park Riviera.
I'm Sveta Volkova, I'm in the front row, kneeling, to
the left.
While
I'm in Sochi I used my free time to meet with the younger
ladies, many of whom are my friends.They bombarded me
with questions as usual as we walked through the park,
headed for a favorite cafe on the other side of the
park, along the Black Sea. We had wonderful warm weather
and a great time on this beautiful afternoon. The girls
kept me busy with questions about learning to drive,
and specific questions about the different parts of
the USA where the men (you) they are writing live. Weather,
schools, music, fashion and of course love filled our
afternoon. |

We began
our day entering the Park Riviera at the entrance near
the palms (above) which is near the highway that hugs
the coast of the Black Sea. From there our first stop
was the Fun House were we posed for this quick picture
before scaring ourselves silly inside!
These excursions give my mom (Inna McNeill) a chance to
learn more about the ladies you are writing in a relaxed
way, with their questions, concerns and excitement bubbling
up naturally as the day progressed.
Every lady who has joined with A Russian Romance, is trusting
us with her future. Counseling with Inna and the office
staff doesn't give them quite the intimate information
they seek, but this relaxed settings allows many private
moments with each lady. and the younger ones seek me out,
as I have successfully made the transition to life in
the USA, I'm a very good student attending college, I
drive, and I'm happy. So all day we walked, talked, posed
for pictures, and we answered questions about life in
the West, and had private moments to answer all their
questions. My mother says this is the crucial element
of matchmaking that the big address selling companies
just don't understand. |

After the funhouse
we stopped and rode the Carousel, and posed for this
picture.
I would like the men clients of A
Russian Romance to understand that some
cultural differences made my transition to American life very
difficult. It would've been a great help to have a girl my
age to talk to who had been through it already. This is why
I make time when I'm in Sochi to answer those specific questions
for our lady clients to make their transition easier in the
future. Remember that you are writing active, dynamic, beautiful,
REAL ladies, and you want them to have as many of these cultural
barriers removed before they come to you.

The afternoon is warming
up and we have left the Carousel and have arrived at
the Lion statue. There is a cafe nearby and we all stopped
and had juice and water and answered the questions of
many tourists about A Russian Romance and what we do.
I set the timer on the camera so that I could run back
to get in the picture - that's me next to my mom.
